Ingredients
2 teaspoon instant yeast
500g high protein flour
500g high protein flour
4 tablespoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon spread butter
2 tablespoon sweetened condensed milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
Icing sugar (topping)
oil (for frying)
Directions
1. Soak yeast in 1/2 cup warm (not hot) water in 5 minutes. (tips: put around 1 teaspoon of sugar in with this to kick it fluffy to get it going).
2. Cook the butter until melting and pour in the bowl with mixed flour. Stir until dissolved. (make sure not hot).
3. Mix flour, sugar, salt in a bowl and stir until dissolved.
5. Knead until dough becomes smooth and elastic. Allow to rise and cover with moist fabric (1 hour).
6. Roll out the dough to 1/2 inch thickness and cut-with a round shape of big cup. Use a bottle cap or the center of doughnut cutter to make the center hole. Remove centers.
7. Rise on the plate until very light (1 hour).
8. Fry until light brown on both sides turning once.
9. Drain on the paper. Gently toss or sprinkle with powdered or cinnamon sugar to warm doughnuts in the mixture a few at a time.
